Open Circuit Lymphatics

By booking an appointment or receiving treatment with Open Circuit Lymphatics, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Payments & Cancellations

Full payment of the consultation fee is required on the day of your appointment.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will not incur a cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 24 hours or failure to attend an appointment without notice (no-show) 09will result in a charge of 100% of the consultation fee.
This cancellation policy exists to ensure appointment availability for other clients and to respect the therapist’s time.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. In cases of genuine hardship or emergency, discretion may be exercised at the therapist’s discretion.

2. Scope of Practice & Informed Consent

Therapists at Open Circuit Lymphatics do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, or perform spinal manipulation.
You acknowledge that all therapeutic treatments carry some level of inherent risk. Providing accurate and complete health information helps minimise these risks.
Treatment techniques will be explained prior to commencement. You are encouraged to ask questions or request clarification at any time.
Professional draping will be used throughout all treatments unless otherwise mutually agreed.
If you experience discomfort or distress at any time, you may request that the session be stopped immediately, and the therapist will comply.
In certain clinical situations, partial or full removal of clothing may be appropriate to improve comfort or access treatment areas.
The therapist reserves the right to immediately end a session in the event of inappropriate behaviour.

3. Treatment-Specific Consent

Lymphatic massage techniques may involve therapeutic contact over breast tissue when clinically indicated. By agreeing to treatment, you consent to such techniques being applied for therapeutic purposes only.
Massage to the genital or pubic region is strictly prohibited under all circumstances.

4. Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal and health information collected will be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
Information will not be disclosed to any third party without your written consent, except to relevant healthcare professionals involved in your care or where required by law.
Personal information collected may include contact details, occupation, health history, and other information necessary for service provision.
Reasonable security measures are in place to protect your information from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access.
You may request access to your personal information or lodge a privacy complaint by contacting Laura Atterton.
In some circumstances, access requests may be denied; if so, the reason will be provided.

5. Health Status Changes

You agree to promptly inform your therapist of any changes to your physical or mental health that may affect your treatment.

6. Photography & Digital Images Consent

Photographs and digital images may be used as therapeutic assessment tools. By consenting, you allow images to be taken for treatment-related purposes.
All images will be stored confidentially and shared only with relevant healthcare professionals where necessary and with your consent.
Images may be shared with third parties (such as compression garment providers) solely for safe and appropriate garment prescription.

7. Accuracy of Information & Agreement

You warrant that all information provided is true and correct to the best of your knowledge.
By proceeding with treatment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and consent to treatment with Open Circuit Lymphatics.
